Since its founding in 1988, the Reichenau festival has developed

into a first-class address for festivals in Austria. An unmistakable lineup guarantees the best artistic quality, stars, and audience favourites from the big stage in Vienna.

Four theatrical new production, solo concerts by world-class pianists, and additional new special programs are offered within a six week period of daily programmes.

The number of visitors grows yearly and draws numerous theatre fans from near and far; in summer 2003 there were over 35,000, and the demand for tickets continues to grow...

Two theatres, the Theater Reichenau and the Südbahnhotel Semmering, offer the right ambience for the tentative pieces and show around 100 productions during the festival period. Nevertheless, an exclusive theatre experience is guaranteed, and thats what the audience here appreciates the most.

The Reichenau festival was founded by Peter and Renate Loidolt and continues to be successfully managed by them as well.
